Yes, it's important to heal past traumas, pay the bills, be there for your loved ones.  But what about creating the life you've always wanted?

Yale University alum Suzanne Koblentz Goodman M.Arch CPCC ACC designed Self-Actualization Coaching to  pick up where psychotherapy too often stops.   Her goal is to help individuals who suffered childhood traumas to fully complete their journeys from harm to happiness.

Suzanne herself was emotionally hobbled in childhood by numerous traumas yet eventually created a  life she loves.   Working from the hard-won knowledge that happiness is indeed possible after trauma, she has combined the personal lessons she has learned  with principles and practices drawn from Co-Active Coaching, Positive Psychology, Internal Family Systems, and the Diamond Approach.   The result is a form of coaching  designed specifically for clients who have suffered adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and have spent years in psychotherapy to heal their traumas, yet still are profoundly dissatisfied with key aspects of their lives, and are not quite certain  they can ever be happy.

What Motivates Clients to Try ATC?

Some ATC clients are age 50+, have worked hard to heal, yet find themselves filled with regret about what they have not yet achieved. Others are in their 20's or 30's,  feel relatively functional after therapy, yet sense that the trajectories they are on will not lead to truly fulfilling lives. In other words, whatever their age, clients turn to ATC because they deeply desire to transform important facets of their lives  but aren't sure how to do so.

     How Does ATC Work?

ATC enables individuals who have largely healed their traumas to pivot their focus from past to future and  from limiting  old self-images,  beliefs, and  behaviors to expansive new ones.    ATC accomplishes this by assisting them in:

    • getting clear about the talents, values,  and aspirations that make their lives vibrant and meaningful.
    •  freeing themselves from  the old thought patterns and behaviors that block their way.
    • developing the requisite skills and strengths  to create new lives that are deeply fulfilling.

"When I was a student at Yale University School of Architecture, every design decision was an agony; intimacy was terrifying; I was totally disconnected from my flabby body; and I was in constant inner turmoil, all because of early emotional traumas.

Yet today I live in a home I love, in a setting I love, in a body I love, with a partner I love, doing work I love: using ATC to help others like myself to complete the journey  from harm   to happiness."
